Really like this place a lot. Every time I go in the staff is so friendly, especially Scotty who I believe is the owner. Everything I have tried here has been very good. My personal faves are the beer battered fish tacos, the steamed shrimp, crabs, crab cake and Italian cold cut.

I SUGGEST!! This was a stop on our Saturday of day-drinking at it was a very nice place to stop and get some grub. I got a fish taco- not he best one I had down at the shore, but decent enough that I will return. The server was a cutie who was helpful. It was nice to have a pitcher of beer with our meal.

I'm not into the concept of whichever table becomes available, grab it... If this is the way, then I expect superb seafood. Ordered the soft shell crab sandwhich, my crabs were way over cooked... Mushy and no taste... So I paid $11 for lettuce and tomatoes... My oldest daughter ordered the crab cake sandwhich and she said it wasn't tasty... My wife and two other daughters enjoyed their snow crab legs... Was looking forward to eating some solid seafood in Ocean City... So far, not good.. Pros: awesome waitress...

I wanted to like this place a bit more, but I'm not a seafood lover so I can't really judge. This place is a little shack with a few tables inside and some tables on the outside. Service was good, I ordered a chicken parm sandwich which was delicious but didn't have enough sauce, and it didn't come with chips or fries or anything and it was 11 dollars. My boyfriend had crab legs which he said were good and not a bad price for 1/2 lb. we also Ordered the chicken tender app which was good. Over all, clean and good service, maybe this place is best for crabs and other seafood!

There's no shortage of affordable and delicious food options near the beach at 45th Street, but Belly Busters still seems to stand out. The menu is very extensive, and the food is perfect to take to-go and bring onto the beach. I really enjoyed my blackened fish tacos and thought they were a steal for the price. I would recommend you grab a menu and call in your order for pick-up because seating is limited - there is barely standing room to wait for a table or your order.

Great little place on the side of costal highway. Got a bench outside and it was a perfect night! Got a couple pitchers of land shark and a lb of shrimp to get started. Love their shrimp, great seasoning. Went with the fish tacos and were fantastic. Cool place to have some drinks and enjoy the summer nights!!

  • Victoria R.

Yummy fish tacos and crabs! Would definitely come back. I love that you wouldn't think it was as tasty given the look and location of the place and then you're pleasantly surprised. If you order the all you can it crab come prepared to watch your belly swell up fast. They don't call it belly busters for nada.

This place is small and the ceilings are low, but the service was really good. The people working there were constantly smiling and welcoming, despite the place getting pretty crowded during the lunch rush. I ordered the beer battered fish tacos and jerk chicken wrap to split with a friend, and both were very delicious. I particularly liked the tomato tortilla they used for the wrap since it makes it different from other wraps from other restaurants. I've heard good things about their AYCE crabs so I'll have to visit again before the summer ends! Another thing I heard was that if you sat outside in the benches, bring a towel or something to sit on since you'll be sitting outside for a while eating the crabs.

We stopped in to grab a carry out order and although extremely busy they greeted us quickly. Very pleasant and fast. The food was delicious. Ordered a chicken philly, 1lb. Shrimp, wings, and shrimp salad. All items were presented well in the to-go boxes, order was accuracy and the staff was super chill and friendly. The outdoor seating right on the main drag looked like a fun spot to eat and people watch!

Awesome service and food! You won't be disappointed. Crab legs, fried shrimp, potato salad all wonderful!

The folks that work here know how to rock and roll the food out during lunch (I use to be in the business many many moons ago). Stopped in to place a take-away order for lunch while I was enjoying the day on the beach. I went with the the rockfish wrap that was very tasty. While waiting for my order, sat at the bar a had a beer(s). I was able to down (boarder-line chugging) two by the time my order was up. The service was great and fast.

Real friendly people, I was greeted immediately upon entering. Ordered an oyster sandwich and corn cob. My sandwich came out piping hot and the corn was firm, wish I had a little butter, but I forgot to ask. Best prices so far, and value for what you actually get. I can't say that about any of the other restaurants we've been to during our stay. OC treat you customers right and we will return.

Last day of Labor Day Weekend trip in Ocean City and we made one final food stop at Belly Busters. It's an interesting seafood establishment with indoor and outdoor dining. We sat outside because inside was crowded and space was tight. We ordered the conch fritters to share. They were fried and crispy on the outside, but I didn't quite enjoy it because it didn't have much of a taste or flavor in it. Most of us ordered the seafood platter but with different sides. The seafood platter consisted of fried fish, clam strips, crab cake, and fried shrimp. Will and I ordered two sides - fries and cole slaw. The seafood platter also came with two dipping sauces - cocktail sauce for the shrimp and tartar sauce. I wasn't a fan of the clam strips. The crab cake was moist and delicious. The fried shrimp and fish was alright, nothing too special. My friends also ordered a large order of crabs and it looked really good, but I didn't take part in it because I have a slight allergy with crabs and cannot eat too much. The experience at Belly Busters was definitely a lot different from the other places we've been to in Maryland. It was a lot more laid back. Would I return to Belly Busters? Maybe. It was nice to try, but next time we visit Ocean City, I give other restaurant a shot.

5.99 for fried, grilled, or blackened rockfish fish tacos ?! What?! These babies were great, I don't really care for the tortilla that comes with it but the fish itself is perfectly seasoned and cooked! So delicious and for the price you have to try it !! Cheap eats for the win. We got the dozen medium blue crab for $50 dollars! Conch fritters, softshell crab platter as well, bc we were starving! But alas not all things can be amazing...the softshell platter is a little depressing as the crab looked fried to a saddened state of misery, as if someone had taken a shrinking laser gun to the crab! For the price definitely not worth it. After seeing that they served extra large crabs and that they truly were XL I had crab envy so if you're thinking about it you should do it! They do all you can eat for 25.99 or around there with corn and people really seemed to be enjoying themselves! The fish tacos and casual vibes with good service are what make this place so enjoyable.

Our group got takeout rather quickly- 15 minutes for a pretty busy night. It seems like it helps to pay cash. In terms of food we (group of five) had the tacos, crab cake sandwich, fish sandwich, salad and soup. Overall, I was super happy with the blackened fish tacos. Soup was well seasoned, although not a ton of crab. Fries were great. Could be higher if they had some more seating and organization. That extra something prevented me from giving the food a five stars. Will likely go back!

Little seafood place on coastal highway that doesn't look like much but is quite good. Came here 2 nights in a row and got the blackened fish (mahi) tacos which were amazing; one if the best I've had. The shrimp salad was also good and the fries are pretty decent - just ask for some old bay on them. The 2nd night we got the fish tacos again but also tried the beer battered ones, these were good but nothing special and didn't compare to the blackened one. Cheap beer, good food and beachy atmosphere; can't go wrong with that.

My favorite place to go in the summer for AYCE crabs and a quick, inexpensive, delicious lunch. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the food never disappoints. There's always a great selection of beers in the fridge that you can buy to go, and even though the place isn't that big, you never have to wait very long for your carry out order. The fish tacos are my favorite; both blackened and beer battered are amazing & the subs are huge and filling. Love this place!

It's a casual joint off the beach serving delicious seafood and comfort food. You can call ahead for take out or seat yourself. It came highly recommended by the locals and was worth it.

  • Nic J.

We came here for a snack and got some fish tacos. The tacos here were great. Sarah ordered the fried fish tacos, and I got the blackened so we could both have one of each. They were both really good. I preferred the really crispy fried ones, while Sarah liked the blackened. The server was really nice, and prices were good.

  • Kyle H.

I ordered a shrimp salad sandwich and the shrimp was well seasoned and tasted great. My only complaint was that the bun was nothing special. Overall the ambiance was very relaxed, and the service was great. I hope to come back again and try some more seafood.

Fantastic crabs (we got XL), great service, and all around great experience. I'm a Baltimore native, and I was more than impressed with all food including the steamed clams and steamed shrimp. Great location on ocean highway. Just go.

Our favorite place in Ocean City! Looked for good fish tacos and we were served EXCELLENT fish tacos. We tried both the blackened and fried and we loved both. One of our kids wasn't smart enough to have the fish tacos, but her meatball sandwich was yummy and large as well. Don't expect air conditioning or ambiance, but you will be rewarded with delicious food and friendly staff. An extra- they serve lots of different hot sauces or salsas- different ones than we have had before. Good stuff! Don't hesitate, eat here!

Food was good. Service needs more help on busy nights. The girls are very friendly and try to keep up, but with takeout, dining inside and out its hard to keep up. Odd that bathroom is in kitchen, kids got to see how food was made LOL

This was a great find during our short stay in OC, and I can easily imagine making eating here on future visits as well. It's a small restaurant, and super busy, so they cram as many people in the space as possible. It makes for a cool, casual, lunch vibe though. Four of us went for lunch here one day, and each one of us enjoyed our food. Two got hoagies and raved about the freshness of the ingredients and the good rolls. One got a crabcake sandwich and devoured it in two seconds before I could even get a good look at it. I picked the fish tacos that yelpers rave about (it's why I picked this place!), and they were definitely yummy. We got takeout, as we couldn't find a table, and the tacos looked a little small in the large takeout box. But once I got past that, the flavor was really great. No idea what the fish was, as they use a fish of the day, but it was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth like butter. The employees were all very busy, but working hard to serve everyone quickly which I appreciated. And the best part is the rock bottom prices. Regular sized hoagies, wraps, and tacos were all under about 7 bucks. Can't beat that!

Went here for a quick and easy dinner near where we were staying... Exceeded my expectations. The place doesn't look like much but the food was great and affordable. Didn't try any seafood but the standard fare was all very good!

Best fish tacos in ocean city! Our server Jenna was awesome. Cute little bar too. My kids love the conch fritters.

My boyfriend used to live in OCMD years ago, and raved about this place. When I finally tried it, I wasn't completely impressed. I ordered the soft shell crab sandwich, expecting it to be amazing (we're in a seaside town, c'mon) but I was very underwhelmed by how average it was. It was basically a bread sandwich with a surprise hint of soft shell crab. But from what I tasted of the soft shell crab, I'd say that it was cooked perfectly and had the perfect amount of seasoning and crunch.

We were looking for a place for all you can eat crab for a reasonable price and decide to try here. So glad we did, crabs were small/medium but heavy and the service was GREAT! Definitely recommend trying this place if in the area.

Stopped in Belly Busters for a few sandwiches and had a really great meal. The place was packed around lunch time and we sat outside, but pretty much every table inside and outside was full by the time we left. I ordered an italian sub with everything and an order of the MD crab soup, and my BF had the chicken parm sub. Everything was phenomenal. The soup was slightly spicy but not overly spicy, and had big lumps of crab meat in it, not those little tiny shreds you normally see. Subs were both excellent and stuffed full of goodness.

  • Alexis F.

Our waitress was so nice! She really took care of us. Explained the crabs and checked on us. The crabs were great. Perfect seasoning. Not too spicy for me. Biggg chunks of meat and fresh. It was about $90 for 1 dozen extra large crabs. We ordered half a dozen. Unlimited napkins and butter for you to dip your meat. Came here because On the Bay ran out of crabs on July 4th! Glad we did. Only bad thing was their bathroom is thru the kitchen.

  • My B.

We ordered the fish tacos and they were tasty. A little too salty but still very good. My husband ordered the Cole slaw, it was good. I ordered the fries, nothing special...plain old fries. It was a good option for lunch. Hoping to try the crabs before we leave!

  • Marilen R.

Belly Busters is a little seafood shack along the highway which has some fresh seafood. We had the fried oyster sandwich, fish tacos, and an order of 3 jumbo crabs to crack and peel. (They do offer AYCE crabs but it only includes small crabs.) The fried oyster sandwich came with a decent amount of oysters. Fish tacos were my least favorite. We ordered the blackened fish and I was not crazy about the flavor however my husband liked it. Crabs must not be in season since they were not very jumbo at all. Nevertheless, the crabs were fresh and seasoned well with old bay. The customers here are on the younger side, college/post college age, so not really a family joint. They only have 1 busted highchair so if there is already a child in the restaurant you are out of luck. Fortunately, there was no other child but ours. The place has a bar and several tables but it is very tight inside. Take note, you seat yourself and then the server will come to you. The prices are reasonable and service is friendly and fast. Overall, a good option for a seafood lunch.

We went for an early dinner due to the good reviews and we were fully satisfied. Very casual. Very family friendly. We were first time crabbers and the cutie waitress happily showed us how to shuck and crack the little bugs. My wife loved the fish tacos. Plenty of beer choices. We were checked on frequently and made to feel welcomed all around. We will definitely visit again on our next trip.

Yummy yummy yummy. Had dinner here the other night. Took a previous reviewers advice and called ahead for pickup. We had the seafood feast, fried shrimp platter, fried clams, 1/2 pound of steamed shrimp, soft shelled crab sandwich and grilled cheese with bacon. The steamed shrimp were the best I ever had. Seasoned perfectly! I live near the Jersey Shore and while the soft shelled crab sandwich wasn't bad, I've definitely had better in Jersey. The grilled cheese with bacon cost about $3.50 and came with a mountain of bacon on it. Spent about $90 and we will definitely be back.

What a great find! Every year, my friends and I come down for our annual vacation and always drive by this place smelling wonderful smells, but never stop. This year, we decided to, and what a great idea that was!! We walked there from our condo, and was seated right away. They have a menu thats fit for everybody, meaning if you don't like seafood, there is definitely something there for you. Some of us got fish tacos, a crab cake, a salad and a cheeseburger. All were wonderful! You get plenty of food for your money, and it came quickly. Outdoor seating is available with some tables inside as well. Our waitress was very sweet as well! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody and I will be back next year!

  • Mike S.

Went here because I read they have good fish tacos. Not so much. What little fish you get is lost in a mess of toppings and sauce. You end up with a bunch of soggy bites. I got a double cheese burger just to try cause the menu says it's their "specialty" only to receive two frozen patties that had a soybean flavor to them. Don't get me wrong it was fine for a frozen burger but I took two bites and threw it away. At least the beer was cold.

Took my gf to ocean city last week for her graduation present . Stayed at the hotel across the street to the restaurant . After the 3.5 hour drive we were starving , do so got food delivered to the room . I got the fried fish platter and she got the fried shrimp . First off I'm a chef and I know the quality of food when I'm looking at it , 2nd the shrimp and fish both looked like the were frozen box product from Sysco . I was outraged . How can a restaurant that's 200 yards from the water , not sell fresh seafood . Even after typing this I'm still in shocked that served that stuff .

Recently stopped here after trying a spot that was ok. I must say I was sold from beginning to end!! The all you can eat crabs were delish and they came out with hefty portions....my mom is a crab lover and she was definitely in heaven! I also had the seafood combo which was awsome!! Staff is awesome welcoming you as soon as you hit the door...my waitress constantly checked on us making sure our crabs were stacked lol...this will definitely be my spot every visit!!

Mediocre food terrible customer service. I came with a group of 4 families as we were here for a lax tournament. We went to order to go since we had a game to go to. The guy at the register suggested we sit and we would be taken care of quickly. Waitress comes and before ordering anything we ask if can get one check per family. She says no and we try and convince her how it isnt so hard but to no avail. So we go back to the counter and order. We get our food and decide to just eat outside. The wait staff tells us we are not allowed to unless we are served by them and proceed to make us leave. Keep in mind this place is barely a step up from McDonalds. Ridiculous will never go back.

This place is legit! Had some awesome fish tacos and clams. The service is fast and friendly, at least it was during lunch time when I went on Saturday! I saw that they got super crowded around dinner time. Fair prices and good food!

Came here the last morning of a semi-rainy weekend camping adventure on Assateague. We were starving and this sounded like a promising place that wouldn't judge our unshowered, campfire-smelling selves. What a great discovery! The blackened fish tacos were super fresh and huge and really hit the spot. The onion rings were outstanding. The steamed clams were cooked perfectly and not sandy at all. We sat at the bar and the service was awesome. The bartender was super sweet and friendly We loved that they also sell beer to go. So convenient! Will definitely be back next time we're in the OC area.

Let's just say if you haven't been there get there! Great food better people. Crabs are Redic! Prices are reasonable considering this shit town but that's another story. So if you're ever in OC MD bring the whole clan! Ask for Scott

Belly Busters looks like a dive but the food and service delivers in a very casual atmosphere. Initially, I was skeptical of the shills and the fish tacos, but I'm now a believer. Rockfish tacos, both grilled and fried, are delicious. The combinations of flavor are amazing; so tasty I ate here twice in a week. Fried oysters and large crabs here are fantastic. To top it off, there is plenty of beer (to go) and individually packaged ice cream in the fridge. There is no air conditioning. Just a few giant fans. Nelly, it's hot in herr. IFHTP 2

This place is very affordable. The fish tacos is amazing its really tasty and very filling. The waitresses are very cheerful and very nice there . They have inside and a outside sitting area. I came here in September for the H20 event and the place was still packed with people . There chicken wraps were a really good size as well . I would deff come back here again. Good Place to come and grab something to fill you .

Great price, awesome food. The blackened fresh fish tacos, albeit rather small, are extremely good. If I remember correctly, it had lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and seasoned fish. I highly recommend that you order this during your visit to belly busters. The cheese steak sub is also another great option. The 7" sub is priced at 5.99. The buffalo tender sub was very meh, definitely not on par with the cheesesteak sub or the blackened fresh fish tacos.

It was a perfect beach day & our lunch from Belly Buster made it even better! We had the fish tacos that were full of flavor (& lower in calories since we opted for grilled). The conch fritters were just like those in the islands! It was VERY busy and the wait was long but it was worth it!

I have a mild obsession with fish tacos. I've even gone to SD in search of my favorite fish taco. However I was pleasantly surprised to find the best fish taco I've ever eaten at Belly Busters! Saw the sign for fish tacos and figured it was just like any of the other restaurants that taut fish tacos on the strip. But the fried rockfish tacos are AMAZING. Perfectly battered and I enjoy the ample amounts of cabbage slaw and tomatoes they put on top. The grilled tacos are equally AMAZING. I tried both rockfish and mahi mahi grilled and although distinct from each other, both left me wanting more. Each order of fish tacos comes with two, so I suggest you and a partner get a fried and grilled each and share. We went 3 times in one week just for those fish tacos. Tried the crabs too, small, better than OC steamers, not as good as Crabs to go. Fried oysters were pretty good too. Never had to wait more than 2 mins for a seat.

Pitchers of beer (incl dogfish 60 minute IPA). Wouldn't recommend a burger (think fast food at best), tacos are decent, big basket of shrimp as appetizer, tuna sandwich is decent.

fish tacos.. tasty.. i would say the grilled fish had more flavor my friend got the fried and i got the grilled and we each tried one of each and would have to agree the grilled was better.

Hopped in for a quick lunch. Place is busy, packed, friendly, and hip. Tried sitting outside but with all tables full, the waitress couldn't seem to get to us. (In fairness, the hostess warned us about this). We had less than an hour to be somewhere so we went in and grabbed two spots at the counter. Loved the blackened fish tacos and conch fritters. My wife loved the shrimp salad wrap, which was packed with whole mini shrimp. If you can squeeze in there, check out this neat little spot.

We had the blackened fish tacos and half dozen crabs and both were incredible. You can taste taco seasoning in the blackend fish tacos which is unique to any fish taco I've ever had. It works really well. I highly recommend this place and as far as I'm concerned it's a can't miss stop in Ocean City. Awesome.

On a chilly, off-season Sunday morning.. woke up in search of food. Most restaurants open at noon, but we tried our luck at Belly Busters. We had drove by it the night before when we got food from Across the Bay Seafood and we got there around 10:58am. Knocked on the door and asked when they were opening and they open at 11! Got seated inside and it seemed like a very chill wait staff (on the younger side). There was a huge selection of beer and a bar area. Seemed like a great place to hang out if you want to drink. For food, we shared a seafood platter (fried clams, fried fish x1, fried shrimp x3, and a crab cake with 2 sides) and a grilled fish taco (x2). My fave was the fish taco. They also had a wide selection of salsa and chili sauce. I loved the Trinidad jalapeno sauce and mixed it with the salsa and had it with the fish taco. It was amazing!! The crab cake had a bit of filler - still good but I prefer no breading at all. The fried fish was tasty... clams a bit too much breading. Butterfly shrimps were ok but no extra seasoning. Pasta salad was eh and fries freshly made so it was quite tasty. Total bill was $35 after tax/tip. I will definitely go back for the fish taco!

Visited Belly Busters last night for our first dinner of the week in OC. Third year in a row and is now a unanimous Must-visit for every member of the family. We love the big buffets and crabfests elsewhere, but nothing compares to the rollicking fun times (and great food) we've come to expect here. Six of us ordered the same thing - fish tacos with beer-battered fish - and no one was disappointed. We also got a couple dozen steamed clams to share, along with pitchers of Landshark. Then we kept it going with some wings, fish fingers and really big steamed shrimp coated in Old Bay seasoning. Oh, and another pitcher of Landshark, plus pitchers of ice water. Everything tasted great, and the service was very friendly and efficient. (The staff is going 100 miles an hour all the time, but got everything right for us and did it with smiles all night.) The place was absolutely packed with people, some at the bar and some at tables. Getting a table can be challenging as it is a seat-yourself setup so you just have to wait and grab one. But once you're there, stay put and enjoy. A party atmosphere among friends. That's what you get at Bellybusters!

My friends and I came here thinking this place is as good as On the Bay Seafood restaurant blocks away. The only thing we enjoyed was the crabmeat. The outer shells were overly seasoned to the point our lips were burning. The server spent more time standing conversing with the staff rather than checking on her tables. We and the table next to us waited awhile to get served. The food might be a good reason for me to come back. But with staffing like that, forget it.

After searching reviews on Yelp, my family decided to try Belly Busters for the first time. It was a bit late, we were tired and didn't feel like going to our usual seafood place in OCMD. This place offered delivery and was right around the corner from where we were staying. The food arrived quickly (probably within about 15 minutes). The delivery person handed me a broken bag and proceeded to tell me that he almost dropped my food because the bag broke. That was my first clue that this experience was not going to go well. I ordered the Seafood Platter (Shrimp, Crab Cake (which I had been looking forward to my entire trip), Clams, and fish), my daughter had 1/2 lb of spiced shrimp, and my son-in-law ordered the flounder platter. My second clue should have been that the total for that order was under $50 in a tourist town; but because the reviews on yelp were so positive I ignored my instincts. When I opened my Styrofoam container I almost cried. My crab cake and clams were burnt to a crisp! I couldn't even bite through the clams! Had I been in the restaurant I would have absolutely sent it back; however, because it was getting late and I was tired, I didn't want to have to wait for a replacement to be delivered. There were three small fried shrimp in the platter, about 10 burnt clams, one piece of fried fish, and the crab cake. Each of us were surprised how tasteless the food was (except the charred taste). The only thing that had any taste was the cocktail sauce. I'm positive I've tasted better from the frozen seafood section in my grocery store. I am VERY PUZZLED how they burnt that food so bad in the 15 minutes it took to take the order, cook it, box it up and deliver it. Clearly it had to have been sitting around for a while. I am sure of one thing.... NEVER AGAIN! Maryland is known for it's seafood; it's crab cakes in particular. I was so disappointed. Just thinking about it irritates me all over again. Please note, This was not a busy weekend in the summer when restaurants might be overwhelmed... It was on a Tuesday night in early June.

My friend & I sat at the bar & had really delicious grilled fish tacos. We also split a cob salad which was equally good. The place looks like a dive, but in a good way. All the employees seemed to be having such a good, I almost wanted to put in a resume myself. Would definitely go back again.

We go every time we are in oc. The manager is a great guy, he lives in costa rica part time and has a very laid back style. Very friendly and easy going. The shrimp salad is awesome. The beer battered rockfish tacos are great also. They come in a flour tortilla, which being from California is a little weird, but it was surprisingly great. They have a simple menu that they don't change much, but they do it right. We have been going since 2003, and will continue to go each time we head to OC.

I ordered from Belly Busters for the first time. I got the crab soup and meatball sub. The soup was delicious. I highly recommend it. There were chunks of crab meat in the soup and there was great crab flavor in the stock. The meatball sub is good also. It's definitely not the best meatball sub I've ever had but it was decent. There were lots of meatballs and cheese in my sub. The subs are overflowing but I found the bread to be a little too soggy for my taste. The sub was falling apart when I received it. Overall, I think this is a decent spot for subs. Nothing spectacular but decent quality for the price. Definitely try the crab soup.

This place looks divey but the service isn't so bad. I can't say it isn't divey because we had excellent seats by the trash can and the screen door that lead to the outside eating area. The person in my group closest to the door kept getting her chair bumped by the door and trash thrown next to her. (I'm sure she'd give her experience less stars if she were on yelp.) I over ordered but I tried the fish tacos which were good (not the best I've had though), wings and salad. The wings were OK, and you can't say much about the salad. So all I can say is I didn't have a 4 or 5 star experience that other people had, but the food wasn't bad.

  • Katie W.

Doesn't look like much on the outside, the inside wasn't much to comment on either. Its not a big place and no airconditioning, with two big fans running. But the service was friendly and personable and everything was clean and tidy. I really got the feeling it's more of a local place as the casier greeted several customers by name-my sort of place! Ordered beer battered fish tacos and all I can say is YUM!!! Excellent! They were very generously sized so two were plenty for me.I would definitely eat there again.

A great beach casual place for sandwiches and fish tacos. Every-time we come to OC we eat here. We had a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed what they got. No kids menu but a baskets of chicken tenders, fries, and cheese sticks kept the kids happy.

Fish Tacos - so I consider myself a bit of a FT nut. Mahi, blackened (which was only slightly) - top 3 FT I have ever had. Amazing mix of favors, cabbage was crisp and sauce flavors were all in sync, amazing! I'm going back!

We picked up food from BellyBusters while we were at the beach and returned to our sandy spot to eat! We had chicken tenders & fries plus a large cheesesteak sandwich. The tenders and fries were good, but what really shone was the cheesesteak: better than I've had at cheesesteak-specialty places. Excellent flavor, tender texture, juicy and yummy! What takes it to five stars is friendly, helpful service (they'll deliver to your beach blanket if you have a cell phone to guide them in!!!) and very reasonable prices.

Everything is great! Had the beer battered rockfish tacos and getting ready to sit down to the blackened fish tacos on day 2. The service is excellent and the establishment is cozy. My wife enjoyed the jerk chicken wrap. As I type this, my son and I are chowing in the mozzarella sticks which we pipping hot and out in 5 minutes. Go to Belly Busters!

Great place to pick up some quick food or beer. We experianced the wings, crab cake sandwich, Fried conk, and fish sandwich and were impressed with them all. Friendly atmosphere and would definitely come back. Something I learned while leaving though.. (after I ate my wings) ask the guy behind the counter for hotter sauce for the wings... If you're anything like me, it will be well worth it ;)

How could I have gone so long without reviewing Belly Busters considering it was a dietary staple of mine during the summers of when I worked across the street at (what was) The Shark. Honestly, they were the best summers of my life and Belly Busters was along for the ride. Lunch before my shift, late night eats after my shift, and the perfect post-hangover meal... Belly Busters was where it was at! I don't particularly want to mention how many times I had to risk my life crossing Coastal Highway on foot to make it to Belly Busters from (what was) The Shark. The jerk chicken wrap should be considered a food group all in its own. The sundried tomato wrap, the spicy jerk chicken, and the homemade honey mustard made this wrap my favorite. I will actually say the jerk chicken at Belly Busters is better than the jerk chicken cheesesteak from Seacrets and the jerk chicken at Market Street Inn in Salisbury. The best parts of Belly Busters were sitting at the picnic tables outside with one of my best friends practically 3x a week and talking to other patrons while enjoying awesome food and great service and cold beers. Lunch and dinner, we explored the Belly Busters menu up one way and down the other. I don't make it back to Ocean City frequently as I live in Boston now, but Belly Busters is always on my list of places to visit when I return.

Belly Busters was recommended to us by an OC surfing instructor. We were looking for a place for crabs and Belly Busters did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and was more than happy to show us how to eat crabs. It has become our favorite spot in OC!

I'm giving this place 5 stars for the food, not the lack of A/C or the accommodations. But hey, this is about food, folks. I dragged my entire extended family which includes 8 adults and 5 little girls, age almost 3 and under to this dive bar eatery while we were vacationing right after the official summer season ended and it was AWESOME. We showed up with strollers and dining seats and the hip tattooed waitstaff didn't even flinch. I had the soft shell crab sandwich doctored the way they do it with cocktail sauce and it was great - zesty and tasty. My girls split a chicken salad sandwich (they're almost three and one) and they tore it up. Other people in our group tried the fried shrimp (loved it), burger (non seafood eater loved it), beer battered onion rings (loved them), and crab cakes (awesome). All in all my fam gave this place rave reviews and that's not always easy to achieve with these people :) Some of the best food we've had in OC at the lowest prices. GO HERE, you won't regret it.

This place has reasonable prices and a wide menu, with moderate quality of food. It's a good go to place if you'd like a simple deli/subshop lunch. The chicken sandwich and shrimp salad are decent. Service is friendly and the ambiance is chill.

Small local place with great food and service. Large steamed crabs were a bit pricey at $45 dozen but I hadn't eaten them in 20 years so I splurged. My husband loved the steamed shrimps and the kids loved the steamed crab legs and fried shrimp. They are a bit heavy with the Old Bay seasoning on the crabs so if this is problematic for you, just ask for light seasoning.

I don't give out 5-star reviews freely, but this place deserves it. Came here with my family (8 adults, 5 kids 2 and under) for dinner. This place is a bit of a shack with a bar, but there was no one inside when we got here so it was easy to sit down. The server came swiftly, and was very nice to interact with. The food came quickly and was delicious across the board, with delicious chicken salad and burgers, awesome fried seafood and very crisp and hot fries and onion rings. One caveat: parking seemed non-existent, but that wasn't a problem for us because we walked. Very reasonably priced, especially for a resort town. I will absolutely return!

FISH TACOS with blackened fish were killer good, will return on next trip. Price was cheap (2 tacos for $5.99) and wouldn't change a thing about them, perfect. Also had the conch fritters with dipping sauce, very good, similar to a hush puppy. Beers were cold. Service was fast and reliable. Location was perfect, we walked here from the beach for lunch, VERY casual- sat outside in our bathing suits and felt comfortable. Music was enjoyable, flash backs from the 80's. Loved everything about it.

Fish tacos (blackened are the best!), chicken cheesesteaks, draft beer and an awesome staff make this place great! I only wish we had time to try the crabs. Will do that next time. Thanks Bellybusters for saving us from the Taphouse! We will be your loyal customers from now on.

What a great spot! I came here just the other day and sat at the bar area for lunch. I was greeted by two really cool girls, one with a tattoo sleeve and the other with a cool braided ponytail. The vibe was totally chill and they were more than helpful. They both said I should try the fish tacos and I did and they were excellent!!! Great food and excellent customer service. The girls were so sweet and provided excellent conversation as I was eating alone. Definitely coming back here for the service alone!

This place was amazing. I am not a seafood guy but decided to give it a try. Got the crab cake sandwich for dinner. It was really good. Tons of crab. Someone else got the blackened mahi fish tacos. They were amazing. So good that I went back for lunch the next day and got the fish tacos for lunch! .... Might have went back for dinner that night as well. Certainly going to hit this place one last time before I head back home to reality.

Belly Busters has a fun name and makes for a fun time too. Alana, our waitress, brought a great spirit and lots of smiles, always offering more crabs and corn. We expected to bust our bellies on the all-you-can-eat crab special (which is only $21.99), but lost the battle to the numerous flesh wounds on our hands. I officially gave up when blood was shed. Hopefully we will gain crab-picking veteran status by the end of summer... Crabs and beer at a small road-side, shack-esq place can't be beat in the summertime! - Host Our Coast hostourcoast.com

We went looking for soft shell crab sandwiches. Found this place for lunch. The appetizers were very good but when the soft shell crab sandwiches came, they were WAY too salty. Three of us took only 2 bites and they were inedible. Server told us that sometimes it gets busy back there. Sorry, poor excuse.

  • Teri M.

I enjoyed this place. Even though it was super busy, I didn't feel rushed or cramped. The atmosphere was loud and upbeat and casual, but again, I didn't feel overwhelmed. It was the way I imagine a crab place should be like. My friend and I split a half dozen of the medium-sized local crabs and they were cooked like they should be, with tons of seasoning on the top shell. They were nice enough to throw in an extra one too! I was the lucky one that got 4 crabs and that was perfectly fine with me. My friend had a salad to go with and I had only a couple of their hot wings for appetizer. The Hot Wings were perfect, just the way I like them: fried hard so the skin is thin and crispy and the sauce was tangy and delicious, lacking nothing in flavor. I would definitely go back, if I lived in the area. I wasn't in the mood to drink, but my friends had a couple of beers. I'm happy to note they had a cooler full of random beers, Blue Moon being one of them. Only downside was the bathroom situation. There is only one single bathroom, no men or women, just one, and you have to go into the kitchen to get to it, which is a little awkward, seeing the kitchen bustling and at work, because I had to wait there for quite a while as someone just wouldn't come out. The music is loud back there too on top of the dishwashing and so I couldn't hear them respond to my attempts to get in! lol I don't know what they were doing in there, but I eventually gave up and asked if I could use their kitchen handwashing sink to wash the crabs off my hands. I had to hold my other business until I got to my campsite. grr

The Bad: The salad was really, really small The cole slaw was awful Fries aren't included with your burger/sandwich/wrap Very little parking (though we had no trouble since it is the off season) The Good: The honey mustard dressing had great flavor The tartar sauce was perfect The cheesesteak was good and very meaty The Excellent: The hot wings were delicious The crab cakes were perfect--- lots of crab meat, very little breading Considering comprable prices in the area for seafood (crab cakes in particular), Belly Busters is excellently priced The service couldn't have been better The availability of outside seating was great

The staff always is friendly and accommodating. Not often found at the beach. The sandwiches are terrific. Order any one you will be pleased. We most often drive down on Friday and order delivery. Sandwiches are great delivered fast and never an issue. I only wish they were open year round.

We loved this place! Small, very friendly waitstaff, totally laid back. But the food, oh my. We ordered the wings to start..I am a wing chick- and these were slamming. Cooked perfectly..main dish I got was the blackended fish tacos- out of this world. The mahi was fresh and seasoned/cooked perfect. My boyfriend had the fried flounder sandwich, looked really good-and he said it was awesome.. 3 beers total, 10 wings, and 2 platters our bill was 36 bucks. Great value even if it was more expensive its otally worth even penny! Plus Everyone in there had tattoos, so we fit right in! Lol def going back next time!

You might think, that from the name, Belly Busters is some sort of weight loss program. Wrong! It's the opposite! Meaning if you eat a meal there, your belly will burst forth over your speedo bottoms announcing to all that you've had crabs. (The good kind.) If you are in OC, just go there. Go there, get crazy and smell like Old Bay for several hours afterward. It's worth it for the great food and friendly service.

We had the good fortune to book a condo across the street from Belly Busters. Sadly we didn't try the food until the second week of our stay but once we did we were back again a day or two later. Great prices for really good food. Fish tacos both grilled and fried were excellent. Fried Oyster sandwich was crispy not greasy. Great for takeout when you don't want to leave the beach.

Holy crap. That's all I can say about our dinner here. This was our first dinner in Ocean City, and between Hubby's crab cake sandwich and my shrimp salad sandwich, I don't know which of us got the better meal. Oh, and my Guiness to accompany the meal - we couldn't have asked for a better dinner. The crabcake was chock full of crab, minimal filler. My shrimp salad was whole shrimps with a spicy mayo sauce - even Baby1 gobbled up bite after bite. The turnaround time after we ordered was, um, just about that - turn around, and there's your food. And everyone here seemed pretty laid back, yielding the perfect start to our mini vacation. If it hadn't rained earlier that day, we would have sat outside. But, the benches were wet, so we opted for inside seating. A little cramped with Baby2 in a car seat in tow, but not too bad. And as Baby1 is still going through her grand tour of the restrooms of every establishment we visit, we were quite relieved to find that the bathroom here not only had a low toilet (Mommy look, they have baby toilet!! Baby toilet!!), but that it was pretty clean. Great food+Great beer+Clean restroom = Big thumbs up from this mom!

Love me some Belly Busters! Been here just about every summer since the late 90s, and it never fails to disappoint. The staff is friendly, laid-back, and very accommodating. I get that modern-day hippie vibe here. The music is always cool too! Before I had kids, I'd just grab something to take to the beach. The crab cakes are decent (though a tad bready), and the wrap sandwiches are delicious. Steamed clams + beer on the patio = perfection

My curiosity about this place was piqued by the name and its distinctive logo, featuring a cartoon drawing of a happy, rotund guy in an unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt about to chomp down on a sandwich bigger than a surface-to-air missile. Being a glutton and a sucker for independently-owned places with character, I decided I had to check it out. This was two years ago, and it's earned required-visit status every vacation since then. The sandwiches will not, contrary to the name's claim, cause your stomach to hemorrhage (unless you're a refugee from some third-world nation). And the prices are pretty much what you can expect to pay anywhere at the shore, $8.99 for a soft shell crab or fried oyster sandwich, etc. However, everything I've had there is REALLY FREAKIN' TASTY. Everything is seasoned just right, with that awesome Bay Leaf + hot spices flavor that I've come to expect from better Maryland eateries. The Maryland crab soup is out of this world (just make sure you've got a cold beer nearby--it's spicy enough to make your eyes water). Oh, and the service is laid-back and friendly. My only complaint is the lack of parking--there isn't much to be found behind the place, which is right on the sidewalk beside the Coastal Highway. I wanted to park across the road at some shopping plaza that's ALWAYS been empty since I was a kid (some place with Xmas shops and such), and some guy from Dorkistan or wherever tried to get me to shell out $15 for a parking space. I was like, well, I was planning on going to buy some taffy at the candy shop here, you mind if we get our candy here, then walk across the street to buy our lunch? And this jerkbag was like, nonono, you cannot leave, or we will have you towed! Greedy prick. Anyways, Belly Busters rules.

The BEST! We come here for lunch just about every day on our week-long OC stay. If you are gonna get take out, don't call ahead! Instead, walk over to Belly Busters and order at the counter. Then, enjoy a beer while you wait! A laid back atmosphere, great food, friendly service. What more could you ask for?

I worked at Belly Busters in the summer of 98 and not a summer goes by that I don't crave a cheese steak or one of the crab cakes. I used to have a crab cake every morning after I got done making a huge batch of them. It was easily one of the best jobs I've ever had. If I ever make it back to O.C. Belly Busters will be the first place I take my family. Mac(owner) I'm glad to see that so many people like what you are doing.

We went to OC and wanted a seafood meal. Read a lot of reviews on Yelp and found good reviews on Belly Busters. We ordered the crab cake which came out dark and dry. It looks like they been frying the food in the same oil and don't bother to change it, as a result, the food came out dark from the frying pan. We also ordered the soft shell crab sandwich. The sandwich bun was dry (worse than most store bought bun). The soft shell crab was incredibly salty with Old Bay. We had to send it back to the kitchen. The only redeeming food there is friend oyster.

Perfect if you're looking for all you can eat crabs. Very local bar feeling.

Hard shell crabs are all steamed in the morning and warmed as you order, which, of course, makes for "mealy" crabs. Because of this knowledge from the waitress, we ordered soft shells that were to tiny to be caught and WAY over seasoned. These also were most probably cooked originally in the morning and warmed as needed. My recommendation: Not Good

I went last night, Sunday, at 10 pm. How many crab shacks are open on Sunday night til 11 pm? zBayside Seafood a block away was OUT of snow crabs and wouldn't serve me onsite anyway at 10 pm. So I went to Belly Busters. I got Alaskan snow crab clusters. OMG. They were huge and awesome. SO much better than any all you can eat Alaskan snow crab legs I have had in Ocean city, like Higgins, etc.- the brab legs are so small in those places. These were BIG and I am sure I got a pound of meat from them. It was incredibly tasty. Very informal place, LOVED it. Loved the guy in the kicthen who banged out the songs on the kitchen pots, pans, and utensils. Love, love, love this place, and prices are very good. So good that I got a second order of the crab legs to go and had them for breakfast and lunch today! Belly Busters, I love you and you have me on the line now.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
